SHERIFF'S OFFICE MASTER GATE/ACCESS CODE LISTOur Fire Department does not maintain our own master list of access codes to property gates and access systems.  We get your gate access information from the SO Dispatcher at the time of your 911 call.  So, if you want our Fire Department to be able to get through your gate quickly in an emergency, call the Sheriff's Office at (830) 868-7104 to update your gate code information on their Master List.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER INSPECTIONS: Contact the Regional Fire Marshall through the City of Johnson City offices (830-868-7111) to arrange for this service. Our local FD does not perform these inspections.

FIRE STATION TOURS: We are very proud of our fire station! If you would like to schedule a tour of the new fire station (as an individual or group), please give us a call at 830-868-7900. We are honored when we have visitors come by and we are glad to give tours! Giving us as much advance notice as possible helps to ensure that we will have adequate staff on site! We look forward to seeing you!

PRESENTATIONS: JCVFD offers many community outreach programs designed to promote fire safe behavior through a variety of educative mediums. Public safety education offerings include fire safety lectures, educative entertainment for children, fire department history, and fire safety demonstrations. For further information on our free educational programs or to schedule an event, please contact the department at 970-868-7900. Our Fire Safety Education Program provides Fire Department speakers trained in basic fire safety education and covers common fire hazards, proper use of a fire extinguisher, installation and maintenance of smoke detectors, critical evacuation skills and a video on fire safety. Literature on burn prevention tips and burn first aid is also included. Fire safety speaking engagements are structured to accommodate all ages and learning abilities. Youngster demos may include a firefighter with turnout gear and a tour of an engine or ambulance.
A special presentation of "Firewise Risk Assessment" is popular and available . . just call our main number to make arrangements.
